Altoona Action. Here is an original 35mm color slide by James C. Herold that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 15 July 1967. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6122 and #6163. Both are EF-36's built by GM-EMD and rated at 3,600 horsepower each. #6122 was constructed in October of 1966, while #6163 was built in January of 1967. In this context, they're rockin' 'n' rollin' past the old East Altoona Coaling Tipple with a westbound manifest freight train.
