Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Bay Head Junction, New Jersey, c. 1964. Prominent here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5858 and #5771. #5858 is an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in February of 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. #5771 is a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965. Looks to me like they've both seen better days! |
