DMIR 2-10-2 #514 - Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range
Description:
Built by Alco-Brooks in January of 1919 as DMN #514 (serial #60083, class E-1). Like many in the same class after serving 40+ years, the loco was sold for scrap in 1962. The loco was retired in 1962. Specs = 57" drivers, 200 psiboiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 352,000 lb and tractive effort of 69,600 lb. The photo is from the Howard W. Ameling collection., the loco slid over to the DMIR roster in 1938.
